LINGA

LINGA was from 1995/96 -2004 the most important activist of the atmospheric side of the Drum and Bass on Mexico City, generating a lot of good and deep local sessions through different dj collectives and finally creating the Ataraxia Label along his crew partners, releasing some limited editions cd's. LINGA opened the two historical Logical Progression Sessions at Mexico City, and he had the chance to share stage with producers and dj's like Klute, Dj Spooky, Mad Professor, Aphrodite, Fauna Flash, System7, Dj Morpheus, Nookie, Makoto, Ltj Bukem + Mc Conrad, Juju, Luke Slater, and a lot lot more. LINGA spread the word of the atmospheric drum and bass through the whole mexican republic and was known for his deep, touching and emotive- epic sets and was one of the founders of the Mexican Drum and Bass scene. Historically one of his tracks: "Deep Steppin'" was included by Ltj Bukem on one of his classic Progression Sessions sets: Ltj Bukem Live at Switch Radio, and was showcased on the famous Bukem Radio Program: The Cosmic Show in 2004, and these track was even played on Germany, Usa and Japan on the sets of different atmospheric Drum and Bass dj's. It could be said that these was the first mexican Atmospheric Drum and Bass track that get some kind of recognition.
