Here's to finding your Safe and loving home, wherever or whatever that may be!

About Me

Quick Bio: GWM. I was raised in a military family and lived over seas in Iran as a child. Came to the United States at the age of 10 and had to learn the American culture. Lived in Southern Illinois, midwestern/ southern work ethic -- Methodist at home and Southern Baptist when I visited my grandmother during the summers in the Ozarks. Been a Quaker for the past twenty years, but have been attending Episcopal services lately.Work: I owned a business where I restored victorians for 15 years in SF, then went into law firms and worked as a mediator for LA Superior Court for a couple of years. I do a lot of work with nonprofit organizations, maybe a little too much volunteer. In transition at this point -- seasoning what the next steps for me are.Personality: Quite spiritual, struggle with trying to have a God-lead life, and gay, but not sure I always hit the mark. Not sure what to say about myself, people who have known me for a long time say things that I like to hear. I'm content and lead a lead a simple life but would like to have a loving relationship. I did have a few long-term relationships that never quite worked out -- waiting impatiently for the right guy to come along, but it is a hard match.Professional website: http://www.ourwayhome.nethttp://groups.myspace.com/oaklandpa ramount Home | Browse | Search | Invite | Film | Mail | Blog | Favorites | Forum | Groups | Events | Videos | Music | Comedy | Classifieds

I'd like to meet:

Not that I am bible-thumper, because I hate fruitless debate on religious matters, but what I have noticed is that non-Christians seem to get mad, and stay pouty-mad far too long for my taste. Life is too short to do the power struggle thing -- I'm just not into it. I would like to meet someone that has enough of a value match that makes life interesting, and be mutually supportive.By nature I am not a jealous person, but I spent too many nights at home when old boyfriends were out on the hunt for someone else, and it just makes me feel bad. So, I want someone who knows what they want, and what they want is my love.I wish I could skip this part about talking about sex, because it seems somewhat personal to me, but I should say something so it can be a good match. I love sex as much as the next guy, and want to have plenty of it in my personal relationship. I'm sexually recessive, prefer guys who are larger rather than smaller, but can work around it. Let's leave the rest for conversation if we get past a few dates.Body: Ok, I'm a little out of shape, but definately plan on getting back into shape. When I was in school I was a gynmast and snow skied during the winter. I liked to canoe and go camping -- none of which I have done for a while but a good match would have to like the outdoors and be at least a little athletic. Not particularily into Gym-bunnies or that scene as a way of life, but do have a gym membership.
