English:Style: Deep, Minimal Techy, Progressive & Electro Progressive, Electro HouseLuckduck Djs is a dj duet made up of Ignacio Mancilla Prieto and Raúl López. On the one hand Ignacio was born on November 13th 1984 in Buenos Aires and Raúl in northern Argentina, in Salta-City on March 19th 1984.They met in 2004 and started performing in private parties organized by friends. Both of them were involved in music from a very early age.Raul started playing guitar at the age of 12, going through different styles of music through all his adolescence. He moves to Buenos Aires when he was 15 when started his interest in electronic music. After finishing high school he took a DJ course for beginners, which was followed by the advanced DJ course at the school for electronic music Sonica. At present he has graduated the electronic music production carrer at the same school.In turn, Ignacio was always particularly interested in music, experimenting with other music genres, diverse styles that went from bands like Pink Floyd to Shootyz Groove. He was a member of a high school rock band called “Alles gut” where he played guitar and sang. He also took the beginner and advanced DJ courses at Sonica.During his first steps as a DJ he preferred progressive and trance under the influences of artists like Hernan Cattaneo, Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, John Digweed, among others.They have played in many clubs and pubs in Argentina as well as in many events, such as “Creamfields Buenos Aires 2005”, gig with Paul Van Dyk in 2005 and 2006, “Ministry of Sound at Pacha Buenos Aires”, “Mint”, “Big One (ADN Sessions)”“Bahrein Xs”, “Hi-Fi”, “Ku”, “Envy” & more. In the summer season 2004 they were touring the Argentinean coast performing in “Barcelona Bar”, “El Signo” beach sponsored by Direct TV and took interviews + sessions on the local radio Acqua (101.1 FM) and on the well known station X4.They are residents of Smiley and DC parties.They shared booth with prestigious Djs such as Paul Van Dyk, Edgar V, Dubfunk, Javier Bussola, José Luís Gabin, and Javier Beltran. By the end of 2005 due to their great effort, they got their first international gig with Paul Van Dyk, Edgar V y Javier Bussola in La Rural for Seven thousand people.That same year they were producing a radio show called “Back to back Radio” for the electronic music website “Dancelatinoamerica”, where they invited various national artists. They have made there first tour through Mexico, Playing in clubs and events like “Heineken Indie Rock (DF)”,“Play (Df)”,” Boom Beach (Df)”, “Asia De Cuba (DF)”, “Liberec (Guadalajara)”, “Cristal (Matehuala)”.They were also distinguished as Artist of The Week on the radio shows Beat-radio (www.beat-radio.com) hosted by the Mexican Dj and producer Jordi Riera and FOOMA Radio hosted by two Mexican djs, Dj B.O.F, and Alex Castel. In October they were inviteded to participate in a well known Porto Rican radio called Dub Radio (www.dubradiopr.com) and now form part of there roster.As far as their activity in Buenos Aires goes, in 2006 they have been booked by DG Productions (Daniel Grinbank) once again to play for the second time in a role in the gig of the German DJ Paul Van Dyk, only this time in the Costa Salguero complex.The were called in by Sol Solar Corp. to participate of the Ciclo Crecer in which they shared booth with the DJ and producer Dj Bia. They are currently booked by ADN BOOKINGS agency Performing with Dubfunk at Big One, one of the Most important nightclubs in argentina .They were invited by the web radios Frecuencia Zoom and ADN Alternative on their show Twisted Sounds to show their latest musical creations (www.adnalternative.com.ar ). They released an exclusive mix to the prestigious electronic music- website www.nightclubber.com.At the present they focused mainly in production using programs such as Reason, Ableton Live 5.0, Cubase SX, Recycle. They are currently producing several tracks, planning to be edited on early 2007.Their live show requires not only CD players and turntables but they also incorporated the use of the KAOSS PAD a console for samplings and effects, which gives personality to their music resulting in a unique style.They are defining a new musical concept called “Evolving groove” paying special attention to a careful track selection, their listing and application for the listener to perceive the vibration of sticky melodies and groovier basses.
