GreetingsI am the last Byzantine Emperor, born on February 4th 1404 i ruled in the final days of the Byzantine Empire. I am the 8th out 10 children. My father was Emperor Manuel II Palaiologos and my mother was Helena Dragaš.When my older brother, Emperor John VII, went to Italy to help get support against the invading Turks, I served as regent in Constantinople. Having brown nose to my brother paid off in the long run. Because I was named as his successor when he return home! Dispute this endorsement, their was bickering among my jealous brothersSo in order to end my brothers jealously of me, my family went to Ottoman Sultan Murad II and ask him to choose the ruler of Byzantine. This was done in order to keep the peace in this region. He chooses me.This ended up being a bad idea, cause just months after Murad choose me to become emperor. The Ottomans Sultan decides all of a sudden that Constantinople belongs to him! And thus begins the invasion of my empire. The swindler then offer me a chance to rule Mistra if i gave up Constantinople. But i refused to be fooled again by this tricky. I appealed to Rome for aid, but much like my father. I was given no help.The Ottomans reached Constantinople on May 29, 1453. Having quickly gain the advantage in battle. It should be noted that many greeks and europeans fought alongside the Ottomen Turks. How foolish of them! The Ottomans quickly swarmed over the gates like an invading locust. Seeing this i drew my sword and charged forth into battle, cutting down every Ottoman around me. I died defending the gates of Constantinople. I am considered to be a Greek Orthodox Martyr and was given holy communion by cardinal Isidore of Kiev shortly before I charged into battle.
