It's not what you see, but how you see it!

About Me

Where to begin? Well I guess there is not better place than the beginning! I grew up surrounded by music, lights, cameras, bass and a whole lot of talent! My dad was topping the pop-charts, my god-parent was well know in Hollywood and my Aunt was on one of the biggest TV shows in the nation, all while I was still in elementary school eating my lunchables and drinking my ½ pint of chocolate milk! YEAH, it was crazy! I think that growing up with so many successes around me so, others naturally assumed that I would follow in the already laid musical footsteps of my father! However, music, while very much a part of me, was not what I wanted! While still in elementary I landed my first TV gig on PBS and quickly found my niche in Television, Film and Print! It wasn’t what people expected, and I like that aspect of my career even more! I have no problem being the “Ashley Judd” of the family…I actually like it LOL! I’ve since modeled for several major campaign nationally and internationally and have worked with some of the best photographers in my eyes, and met the best of the best people this industry has to offer! I’ve now used that experience in front of the camera as a working model to begin expressing myself behind the camera as a fashion photographer, and I have to say…I feel like I am at home here! I find myself taking my camera everywhere with me because I find inspiration in everyday things that I simply never saw...thats until my mentality changed! The sky, the water, the sand, and even the pavement! But now I see more that just a sky, I see the sun and how it beams through the clouds cascading shadows on the ground and even other clouds; I see the water and how it moves and glides; the sand and how it sticks and shimmers on wet skin; and I see how the pavement glistens in the distance even when it is dry outside! I’VE LEARNED THAT ITS NOT WHAT YOU SEE, BUT HOW YOU SEE IT…THEN CAPTURING THE VISION AT THE PERFECT TIME ON FILM!!! It’s cathartic, spiritual, liberating, and downright AWESOME!!!Most things in life are moments of pleasure and a lifetime of embarrassment. Photography is one of the rare things that is not. Its about finding something extraordinary in an ordinary place and finding that it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them. So while most things in life are moments of pleasure and a lifetime of embarrassment; photography is the exact opposite...a moment of embarrassment and a lifetime of pleasure.FAVORITE QOUTE "I always thought of photography as a naughty thing to do -- that was one of my favorite things about it, and when I first did it, I felt very perverse." ~Diane Arbus
