Being no stranger to the chicago house scene, Base has come a long way to make his reputation known! Because of his bright personality and good communication skills, he was able to produce, direct, and host his own sports show called Sports Preview in 1997, and also held a serperate show called Sports Finatics on AM 1530. But being influenced by dance music led Base to find himself in the right places at the right time! In 1998, he met Brad Radecki, an MC, who at the time helped dj at Mainstreet USA, a major roller rink club in the suburbs, along with B-96's very own Blue Mike. There, Base quickly found himself in the mix of promoting and networking again and for his first time in music promoting, he was able to help promote a big event called Progressive Nation 1. After a while, Base was quickly forming a deeper passion for music and became more exposed to different syles of dance music. Progressive house music put a huge impact on Base, and big influences came into his life, such as DJ Caffeine, Tommy Boy, G2, Mixin Marc, and Blue Mike. As time went on, Base's interest for music became stronger and in 1999, he got into mixing music and started doing house parties. But in 2001, he got his first pair of decks and after that, his life was never the same! He practiced all the time at home and with his determination and dedication, his skills improved by the day for matching beats and tweaking the sounds of music.----------------
Later on that year, he had the opportunity to dj for high school events and began to form a reputation! Base was still doing his sports show on the side as well, and it was going so successful that he was nominated for an award in 2001 for entertainment. But in 2002, he searched for a bigger dream and let music take over the scene for him. He met Bob Tucker, who is a promoter/producer for other major artists, and teamed up with him to help promote the B96 summer bash for 2002 and 2003. Being exposed to the whole musical industry, and getting his hands into everything from promoting/producing to mixing/partying, Base became a major clubhead, hitting the rave scenes and spinning hard house and progressive music at house parties. He started making demos to pass out to friends and his name was starting to get recognized with everyone he knew. More influences came along into Base's life, such as Bad Boy Bill, Tiesto, Alex Peace, and DJ Bam Bam! Later on that year, he met DJ Wrek and from there versatility hit his life. His format and style of mixing started to change as he entered more into the chicago house/underground scene.-------------------
On the side, Base still did high school events and house parties but slowly began to enter bigger and better opportunties. In late 2004, he teamed up with Wrek and started their own label called Structured Muziq! Base was able to spin in his first major club and also release his first major cd with Wrek, called House Impact! Afterwards, more opportunities came his way and he became known even more because of his style of mixing and his personality! He even released a second major cd with Wrek called Tension! From there, Base has put himself deeper in the music scene, more than ever before! He's been thankful for the support from his friends and family and continues to grow much love and respect for all dj's, producers, artists, family and friends, and a passion for the music. He now seeks to reach his success in life as a dj and a producer! So whenever you hear someone chanting " bringin it to ya live and in style", you know its the docta....... DR.
