Col is a singer/songwriter/guitar player from Sydney Australia.Col is 37, born in Liverpool, England.
Col met Eric Clapton after a concert in 1990 in Sydney, and was so inspired that he taught himself guitar at age 20 from guitar transcription books. Col is self taught on vocals also. He began writing songs at age 23 while studying Mining Engineering in Adelaide South Australia. Col graduated with Honours 2B in 1996.While studying Mining Engineering in Adelaide, Col began playing lead guitar live in THE SCAM, which gained an excellent following and received radio promotion on the Triple M Network in Adelaide. Col left the band in 1994 to pursue a solo career.Heavily influenced by Black Sabbath and David Bowie, Col has been working on and honing new material for the past decade. Col takes a minimalistic approach to lyric writing, and is a self confessed perfectionist when it comes to song writing.
