Welcome to Jen X Entertainment™ music management and promotions company. I formed Jen X Entertainment™ in March 2006 and since then have started working with some incredibly talented musicians and DJs and have many negotiations with other bands in the works.

As a manager I am able to take over the business dealings of the band so that the artists are more free to focus on their music. This can include and array of responsibilities depending on where the band is in their career. Typically I arrange shows and special events working with venues, promoters and anyone else involved to ensure that each event runs smoothly. I have a strong background in finance therefore allowing me to assist with all financial needs of the band and even helping to find investors and sponsors. I have a particular interest in promoting and building a fan base for each of my clients. I do graphic arts and have done quite a few flyers for various bands, DJs and special events. There is a slideshow of some of my flyers below. The fees I charge are always negotiable with each band depending on what we agree my duties would be. I have an attorney well versed in music management that drafts up all my contracts and provides me with legal advise, so all deals will be documented officially.
For bands that already have management, I also will work with them to just focus on promotions. I will help with your myspace page, web page, and developing email lists. Myself or a rep for me will attend shows to set up booths to sell CDs and merch. I also help design merchandise and will help the band create an image to market.
Recently, I have started discussing with a partner about starting a PR company for bands and DJs. My silent partner at this time has an extensive PR background and we are currently building a large database of contacts and advisors to launch the company. Public Relations are a distinctly different area than managing. The basic business and organization for a band is considered management but as a PR rep we will agree to a specified starting period to push the band with all of our contacts. This can include everything from magazines, TV, radio, internet and venues. The goal is to create an image to sell and put the band out there to build not only a larger fan base but also public awareness. Basically we put together press kits for you and get them out all of our contacts and pursue all leads. The work is very different and hence a different schedule of fees and contracts will be used for this division of my company.
My career as a Promoter started with a number of shows at The Gig on Melrose Avenue. In December I put on my first event under "Jen X Presents™" with 3 amazing bands and celebrating my birthday along with 2 close Sagittarius friends. This event was quickly followed up by an event in early January with another 3 amazing bands to welcome in 2007. I held one show per month until May of 2007. I have also helped to book bands at venues around LA such as The Key Club, The Cat Club and Safari Sam's. My goal as a promoter is not to put on numerous events every week, but rather to put on high quality events matching bands with similar sounds. This will allow fans of the bands to go to an entire show of music they like to find new bands and for the bands to find new fans. Really a win-win situation for all.
