Hazardous Guadalupe formed in Baltimore in the summer of 2003 to fill a slot opening for Arrington de Dionyso of Old Time Relijun. Marlo Eggplant got a kiddie drum kit from a pawn shop. It was a birthday present. Timothy Carrot picked up a long-since broken, untunable electric guitar. They played together in a kitchen and the classic HG sound was born. 3 LPs, two compilations, and tons of shows later, HG is still practically unknown in their home town, while elsewhere they have been praised by anonymous music nerds on message boards and have enjoyed occasional college/hipster radio show rotation. When they are unemployed HG tours and gets to meet lots of nice like-minded people. At opposite ends of a giant country, HG is now on indefinite hiatus. Carrot and Eggplant are involved in other projects, among them Brain Mucus, Blakk Sweat, Decapitated Hed, and Kreace Peeps. Carrot is a librarian, Eggplant is a massage therapist and naturopathic medicine student.
