I personally think that television is hellspawn, sitting innocuously in the corner of one's living room and quietly destroying the contents of one's head. As an added bonus, it sucks away any time that could be spent on more positive things and funnels it towards making one consume advertising.However, I am partial to the occasional title of episodic film entertainment when it is viewed in isolation from the medium of commercial broadcast.To summarise: I don't watch television, but I do watch DVDs when I need a little bit of quiet in my brain. And the series I have weaknesses for include: House, Doctor Who both new and old, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, a touch of Law and Order SVU (although I despair at their portrayal of both POC and sex workers), and the L Word.I'm also partial to cartoons, when I need something even less thought provoking than the above list: the original X-Men cartoons, the Spawn cartoons, The Tick, The Maxx, and Invader Zim to name a few.
