THE OFFICIAL DEATHRASH MYSPACE PAGE

About Me

DEATHRASH was formed in 1985 by Pat Burns (bass), Marc Grossman (drums), Pat "Nemo" Nemeth (guitar) and John Scherer (vocals). Marc Grossman left the band in 1986 to pursue other interests. With the help of drummer Tony Scaglione (WHIPLASH, SLAYER) we recorded our "Faces Of Death" demo which received worldwide acclaim through fanzines and college radio. The song "Buried Alive" from the "Faces Of Death" demo was signed by New Renaissance Records to be on the compilation album "Speed Metal Hell 2". Tim Scherer joined the band in 1986 on guitar and made the DEATHRASH sound even more intense. DEATHRASH are recognized in the book "A to Z of Thrash Metal" for our role in the underground metal movement of the mid 80's. Known for our breakneck live performances, DEATHRASH has shared the bill with such acts as WHIPLASH, NUCLEAR ASSAULT, HALLOWS EVE, MASSACRE, SHEER TERROR, CALIGULA, DOOMWATCH and others. In 1987, on the verge of recording our second demo "No One Is Innocent" and with contracts in negotiation the group disbanded. In 2005 the band reunited and are in the process of recording "THRASH BEYOND DEATH", which will feature the "Faces Of Death" demo, live performances from '86-'87 and new material including a 2006 version of the song "Buried Alive". The CD as well as other merchandise will be available at www.deathrash.net. ONCE MORE INTO THE PITS, CAUSE WE HAVE UNFINISHED BUSINESS!!!
