The Chocolate Factory with Tim Westwood and guesting for Bobby and Steve at the Zoo parties followed as the London warehouse scene blew up. In 1985 he and Tim Strudwick (www.floatworks.com) staged four legendary Haunted House parties . First held in disused mansion houses in Wanstead London, and culminating in what may well have been that decades finest illegal house party. The House on the Heath in Hampstead was in a old hospital which over 1500 people attended. Later that year having formed a solid friendship with Derek Boland, he was the natural choice as scratch DJ when Derek B was sign to Music of life and later Profile in the US. This once in a life time experience showed Linden the other side of the industry and he acknowledges how much key music industry figures Chris France and Simon Harris (Music of life records) and Tosca taught him.
Of the many people he met he has fond memories of touring Europe with Run DMC (JMJ,RIP) Public Enemy and LL Cool J on the Def Jam / Profile tour. His last band appearance being the History making Live Aid Concert at Wembley Stadium (Free Nelson Mandela). During the latter of his Hip Hop years, the music from Chicago, Detroit and New York became not only a major interest but was soon to become a major inspiration throughout his career.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbBMZanI4ec
On a night out with DJ mate Steve Procter the pair discovered a sound that would change their lives forever. The party was called Hedonism, and what they discovered was ACID HOUSE. The Djing style and sound of David Morales was a big influence and following visit to Ibiza and the Red Zone in New York Lindens focal point became the dance floor. In 1988/89 as part founder of Hypnosis he organized countless parties in and around London and were dubbed by the press "The Happy Hippies" highlights included weekly Fridays at the infamous Dungeons (Lea Bridge Rd), and the Bouncing parties held in a marquee in the Essex Countryside which featured the 1st UK appearance of Little Louie Vega http://www.mastersatwork.com.
Other memorable events included Bouncing 2 (Canvey Island) and Pump up the Dam, the invasion of Amsterdam. From 91 - 94 he hosted Strictly Rhythm at the Soundshaft, another Friday weekly house club with promoter Warren Sharifi/ Tony Paul and co-host DJ Rob Acteson who was also part of now fabled Hypnosis. DJ who graced their decks and making UK debuts included Roger Sanchez, Derrick Carter, Danny Tenaglia, Terry Hunter, Danny Budah Morales,Benji Candelario and DJ Pierre to name but a few. The diversity of the night made it possible to play host to other great DJ including Steve Procter and Paul Oakenfold.
The success of Strictly Rhythm was phenomenal and was recognized world wide when Soundshaft mixes appeared on many remixes by DJ who played there. During 1994 - 96 they developed the clubs hybrid Feel the Rhythm. This was a monthly party held at Villa Stefano (Holborn) before moving on to The Leisure Lounge (also in Holborn). Alongside Linden resident DJ included Kid Batchelor (Bang the Party) and Ricky Morrison (M&S)and Graham Park. The night was at the forefront of the worlds new found fashion Club Culture. This created many spin offs, the best known being Totem at The Fridge. This night ran for six months, the highlight was Def Mix Party that featured David Morales and Frankie Knuckles. This was an emotional night and Linden felt he had gone full circle promoting a party with David Morales at the helm. Following this came Big Picture, Blue Hawaii and An Audience With...? these were all parties held at The Cross, and featured Tony Humphries.
During this period Linden made regular appearances at The Ministry of Sound (1991-98),Bobby and St eves Garage City 1993-98 and Gavra. Touring the UK and Europe wet ted Lindens appetite for what was to follow later After a successful two year residency at Freedom (bagleys warehouse) linden took off to Sydney Australia playing headlining sets at The Underground, Spirit, Sugar cube and The W Hotel. He return for another summer in Ibiza which included guest slots at El Divinos Barbera Tucker and Grandma Funk nights follow by Space,The Underground and Pasha where he met Stevie B Robin and later Jellybear(migs and Jelly) from San Francisco.
