Hanik hails from one of the most respected and admired house music havens of the globe – San Francisco, California. Starting in 2001 Hanik became highly sought after player in the SF scene after filling in for respected dj/producer Lego (chicago) who had missed his flight to play for the industry hotspots Sno Drift day parties. Holding down residencies at the XYZ lounge, Vida, Zebra Lounge, and Fluid with Julius Papp, Hanik continued to develop his signature moody yet undeniably San Francisco sound. In 2005 Hanik moved to Washington DC and was instantly made a resident at M3 musics Legendary night Club FIVE opening up for such musical luminaries as Miguel Migs, Kaskade, Dimitris from Paris, Colette, Mark Farina, Oscar G, and up and comers such as Justin Martin, Pheeko Dub Funk, Andy Caldwell, Frenchy Le freak and many many more.
