About Me

Hello, I'm William. I'm 28. I've been living in the suburbs of Washington DC since June of 2006. My occupation is the dual life of college student and retail manager. I'm hoping to transfer to a 4 year program in the beginning of 2009, though I'm not certain what the major will be. International Studies or Sociology seem to be the likely scenarios.
The personality is alternately reserved, and caustic. I don't mind engaging in playful hate, and get along best with those who do the same. Some people just have no sense of humour, y'know?
The interests are gonna be to the side there; you can summarize it by observing that I like music, especially metal of the underground and extreme variety. I also enjoy my education, as well as beer. Mmmm yes, beer. I'm drinking a Rogue Chocolate Stout while I type this, actually. I also have an underfed need for travel that I'm always looking to expand upon. Unfortunately, the need to educate myself at my current stage of life (or else work retail forever..) combined with the need to pay for it sorta gets in the way.
Let's call me a work in progress.

My Interests

travel, road trips, nature, heavy metal, black metal, death metal, grindcore, doom metal, thrash metal, hiphop, trip hop, outlaw country, 80's and 90's alternative rock, classic rock, videogames (God of War and the Grand Theft Auto series), sports, football (Green Bay Packers, Virginia Tech), basketball (Wizards, Pistons), baseball (anyone that beats the New York Yankees), ice hockey (Captials), mixed martial arts, beer, various bullshit intellectual pursuits, political and/or philosophical discussion, hiking, etc...just assume I have lots of interests.

I'd like to meet:

People who share my interests! Particularly people who also enjoy metal and other out of the mainstream styles of music, since Myspace is mostly useful for two things. One is keeping in touch with people you already know, and the other is to discover new bands and artists.
I also moved to this Northern Virginia/Washington DC area with aspirations of getting out more, though that hasn't really worked out as much as initially hoped. So let's work on that. If you don't suck and are from the area, you're welcome to say hello.
