The Dot Com Queen
I'm a freshman at Texas A&M this year, and I'm also an entrepreneur. I don't really model, I'm primarily a technical person (a computer geek.) My major is computer science and my minor is business. But I've been programming since I was 14...when other girls my age were running around talking about clothes and boys, I was learning C++. My goal is to launch some dot-com projects; blogs, dating sites, social networking, etc. Even adult-oriented stuff (with someone else doing the modeling! Get your mind out of the gutter!)
I am using this company for my web hosting services...and they ROCK my SOX! They have really fat pipes and allow any legal content. Plus they have lots of space and lots of bandwidth for not much money. I use the hell out of the PHP/MySQL stuff, and it's nice to log in using their shell interface and compile my C-based CGI stuff. If you signup you get one month free and a free domain name (use coupon code " CHECKMEOUT "). Anyway, if you need hosting, please check them out.
In case you haven't figured it out yet, I like to carve my own trail in this digital landscape. I don't like following someone's pre-packaged mass market "plan for success"...no offense. I want to make the rules, not play by them.
The biggest obstacles to on-line success for me are (a)PHP which I'm now learning, and (b)merchant account bullshit. Apparently a 19 year old girl wanting to start a fetish modeling site is "high risk". But I will prevail!
