BKay started djing in 2001 while in high school in Kampala, Uganda. His tool of trade was a computer that belonged to the school and PCDJ Red, a popular djing software at the time. He did a few school gigs and soon found himself in Kampala fm doin music selection on the saturday morning show with Eddie Ivan, "the african son". 3 years later he returned to Nairobi hoping to develop his skills but didn't know where to start. BKay was introduced to a a few local djs but was reluctant to take up any offers for training. Basically he was losing interest in the field. When he joined University, things turned around. He met a DJ from Blackstar who listened to him play, asked for his demo and later took him under the arm and trained him. This opened doors for him. In January 2007, he was taken up by KORA Award winner DnG, a hiphop artist from Nairobi, Kenya as his personal DJ. Things didn't stop there. He got his own theme night at Club Undecided and later at Rezorus and lately at Club Liquid where he has proved to be a cut above the rest. He also boasts being picked to dj at the annual Mr Miss University World beauty peagant-Kenya chapter this year alongside DJ Adrian. After months of training and getting expoosure to the industry, BKay got signed by Blackstar Entertainment as a DJ.This was a great milestone in his djing career.
Though not famous, he has earned a reputation for keeping the party goin wherever he plays. He is by far one of the greatest upcoming DJs in Kenya.
