About Me
BIOGRAPHY:
Peter Nathanson was born in Newton,
Massachusetts, a small town 8 miles outside of Boston in 1957.
He began playing the guitar at the age of 12 with the usual, small town, guitar lessons; learning the songs of the day regurgitating them badly.
When he heard Jimi Hendrix at the age of 16, as with many guitarists who learned to play in the 70's, it changed his life permanently, never realizing the feeling of freedom and abandon the guitar could bring and coming from a small town more impressed by incredible sporting events than the arts; freedom and new experinces was exactly what he was looking for.
Peter learned everything of Hendrix he could get his hands on and burnt out the speakers of his fathers stereo, directly plugging his guitar into the amplifier; his father never knew.
At the age of 18, after going from Hendrix to Jeff Beck, Peter met Steve Jacobs (now the guitarist for the great Chicago blues-man Carey Bell). They spent many days during that year jamming in a small, old, wood paneled guest room in Steves house which had only 4 objects in the room: an old school bench and 3 old Fender tweed amps. Steve introduced Peter to the Blues! They called the room... The Wailing Room.

BIOGRAPHY:
« The Wailing Room ».
