I am a native Californian and have lived here all my life. I love all the different landscapes that we have here. One of my favorite places to visit is Yosemite National Park. I have no children but I have a managerie of pets. I am bright and sensitive, what you might call an artistic type. I love beauty and I look for it in everything. My favorite flower is the rose.
My biggest overall influence was My Aunt Carol who was the embodiment of love. The best parts of me were developed because of her. May she rest in peace. She passed away on 4/4/04 at 4PM PST.

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. I was a senior in high school when the Vietnam War was winding down and Nixon finally ended the draft. My classmates didn't have to face getting drafted when they left high school. All of us had friends and relatives or knew someone who had been sent to fight THAT illegal war...
When I was a freshman in high school we had a rally following the Kent State Massacre. It was big news then and everyone was upset about it, but you never hear anyone talk about it anymore...lost in the folds of our history... When the Vietnam conflict ended I thought that we were finished with fighting prolonged wars, but here we are again. I can't believe that we are having to deal with this nasty business of an illegal and unwinnable war again. And I have this very pertinent question: weren't we supposed to be liberating the Iraqi people instead of subjegating them????
The local news back then covered the anti-war demonstrations in Berkeley which were quite frequent. My youngest aunt lived in Marin County and I got to see hippies firsthand. She was my favorite relative and I visited her often. JFK was shot when I was in grade school and even though I was a child I felt the loss and I wept. My formative years were witness to these events.
I was a child during the Vietnam War and merely watched events unfold,listening to the adults debate whether we should be there or not, people declaring whether they were a hawk or a dove.... I hated Nixon then, believing him to be one of the most evil men in the world. OMG! Now we are dealing with a greedy power hungry despot who is ten times worse then Nixon and ten times as crazy!
Now as an adult I feel that it is my turn to try to make a difference and do my part in preserving our freedoms and our country. The best way I can do that is to collect and distribute information and hopefully help wake up the people who are blissfully unaware of our democracy slipping away from us. I know a lot of sleeping people. I have many of them in my address book. I need to wake up as many as I can and hopefully they will pass on the information I am giving to them. I can only hope.

My Interests

I am passionate about seeking THE TRUTH about what is really going on in our government and our country, and the need to share that knowlege with every American I know. Our freedom is slipping away as our Constitution and Bill of Rights are being dismantled by the rightwing extremists who happen to be running the executive branch of our country right now. These Neo-Cons are also being aided by the ultra leftwing extemists. These are dark times. Our nation is systematically being converted into a police state by these Neo-Cons. The big corporations have taken over our government and are running it to suit their own agenda for profit and power. On a more personal note...

I am a huge Betty Boop fan and have been collecting Betty Boop items for a number of years.

I love to ride my motorcycle, a Honda 750 Shadow Ace Deluxe. There is nothing like the freedom you feel when riding down a ribbon of highway!

I like to garden. I have a large vegetable garden as well as flower beds and a large rose garden.

I have a large yard which is a natural habitat for birds and squirrels. I keep bird feeders for my feathered friends. I have a large pond which contains goldfish and to which I have recently added a few koi. They are small now and I can't wait for them to grow big.

I LOVE my animals!

I have a beautiful older dog, an American Eskimo Dog named Snow Angel who I adopted in August 2006. There is a new arrival I have recently added to my household who I have named Miki Nanuq ("Little Polar Bear" in Eskimo dialect). He is a beautiful miniature American Eskimo puppy. I also have 4 cats. The oldest is a male orange Tabby, then there is a shaded silver Persian female, a male Russian Blue mix, and lastly the youngest, a male brown Tabby.
I live close to the Napa Valley wine country, and I must admit that I do enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. My favorite variety is Merlot.,

The most influential person in my life was my Aunt Carol. She was beautiful inside and out. She was loved by many. She personified LOVE. She lived simply but managed to surround herself with beauty. She was patient, compassionate and loving. I am just so thankful that I had known her. I am so grateful that she was my aunt and that she was so influential in my life. I believe that she was put here on earth to show us that there truly IS a better way to be. I miss her very much and I find comfort in the wonderful memories I have of her.Here is the link to the photo album I created in her memory:
