Sounds Like: Jem K BioFor as long as he can remember, music has been a driving force in
DJ Jem’s life. His love for Djing began when he was just 15.
With influences from across the board, his style developed over the years,
and he is now known for his unique eclectic house sound of deep tribalcuts
and dark and dirty electro, and has a huge knowledge of dance music.

He forged a name for himself on the whitel isle, in some of Ibiza’s
finest clubs in the late ‘90’s. A three year residency at Es Paradis,
working with Twice as Nice helped establish his name on the circuit.
Other Ibizan staples such as Priviledge, and the luxurious El Divino have
also figured in his career so far, and sunset faves, Mambo, Savannah,
Kanya, Zoo and Base have held his mixes of funky, deep and tribal house,
and lively presence behind the decks in high esteem.
His ability to read a crowd and keep them there is second to none.

"Most of my experience definitely comes from DJing in Ibiza, where it can
be very hard to keep a crowd. If you're playing in a free club you can
clear the floor in two tunes, so it really does teach you about reading
and controlling a crowd."

A regular on the London circuit, Jem has played in some of London’s top
clubs, including Ministry of Sound, Rouge, Legends, Hidden, Bagleys,
Egg Club and the CC club. And his worldwide portfolio continues to grow,
with regular gigs in Egypt and Thailand.

2006 sees Jem moving forward with his productions working together
The 1 Like Scottie and going under various guise's Krafty Katz, Scenario
and Phaze 3 a production team synonymous with funky disco infused cuts
and dirtier, darker more electro numbers too on their own imprint, Diablo
Recordings. He is also continuing his DJ work in the UK, Ibiza, Europe and
worldwide.
