Lee Brinx, DJ and producer is a hot talent to be kept a close watch upon as he storms through club land playing a ground-breaking mixture of driving techno house and electronica. Always keeping an eye on the different vibrations of the crowd, Lee has learned quickly how to create atmosphere and how to move people with his individual mixing style.
Lee's interest in music stemmed from the tender age of 13, raiding his parent's collection of bluebeat motown, soul and rare groove. He was playing in local clubs and securing residencies at 17 and it was a purely natural move that saw him set out with his records to conquer Ibiza at 18 years old. Not one to mess about, his skills saw him secure residencies at the infamous Milk Bar leading to appearances at super clubs El Divino and Es Paradis. Spending the next five summer seasons in Ibiza Lee started to establish himself as a serious up and coming talent and appearances at Space and Privilege soon followed. In the summer of 2005 Lee started Minted Music hosting parties at Eden Rooms and Kanya all the while flying back to the UK for gigs at The Egg, The Cross, Pacha, Studio 33 and The Key to name a few. Over the Christmas and new year period 05/06 Lee embarked on a 10 date tour of Thailand with Minted Music, playing in Bangkok, Koh Samui and Ko Pang Yang and to a 15,000 strong crowd on NYE at a party on Hadrin Beach filmed by MTV Asia. The following summer Lee spent playing house music on the greek isles of Kos and Corfu playing at Starlight, Futures and Atlatis. NYE 2007 Lee played a much talked about set in Meins, Germany for Black Market Records and exactly a year later a highlight of his career was playing the last ever set in the third arch at the Cross in London.
During his time in the UK, Lee worked closely with many radio stations all over London and bookings at Ministry of Sound, Glasshouse, Gas Club, Leisure Lounge, Hippadrome, Turnmills and SE1 rapidly followed. It was at this time he started producing tracks under various aliases and with a focused, uncompromising attitude, his work in the studio made other artists sit up and take notice of his cutting edge sound. More recently Lee has become an in-demand DJ across the the UK as well as the celebrated London scene, regularly playing at the area's most vibrant clubs including Public Life, Unit 7, Home, Platinum, Lightbox and The Candy Factory.
Lee is the face, DJ and co-creator of London based brand Techno Prisoners. With regular London parties in the east-end at Public Life, the former Victorian public toilet in Shoreditch and a monthly event at The Source Bar in Maidstone, Kent, he is responsible for the explosive growth Techno Prisoners has experienced in less than a year.
Lee's love of music and inteligent mixing skills are stamping his mark on the music industry. Recently signed to I-Fi Music with his debut Donnerstag EP alongside his production partner Andy K, and a number of other productions and remixes already scheduled for release in 2009, Lee's production style will surely propel him to the highest levels an artist can go.
