This team of reluctant professionals have all been heading down I-95, each playing in different bands, and eventually heading to the diner that eventually cooked up Gorgeous Mess. To the table, they bring a rocking blend of the nostalgic sounds of 1970s AM radio, the soulful vibe of old school rhythm and blues, and the sheer power of classic rock and roll. Think makeup-era Kiss with vintage Aerosmith. Add a healthy dose of The Rolling Stones, let simmer for an hour or two, then add a hint of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and stir it up with the bands that Hendrix supported before he went to England. Taste good so far? Well, the meal’s not done yet. For a shot of their own special blend of herbs and spices, throw in a very subtle hint of British shoegaze for a band that is familiar yet decidedly different.
