Hello Friends, My name is Jessee Williams and I love to sing! Growing up with 3 brothers and a little sister made it impossible to get too much attention for any length of time, so in my boyhood I learned quickly to entertain myself. I was blessed by God with the gift of hearing music and being able to harmonize with it. I picked up a guitar and harmonica and taught myself to play, and by the age of 12, I was writing, playing and singing my own music. I was raised by a loving mother and a hardworking father. My father's business provided well for our family, but with that came frequent moves around the country that were requirements of his job. Each of my four years of high school were spent in a new school and in a different state. This made long term friendships hard to come by and painful when it came time to say goodbye. I lost myself in music; she was my friend that I could always rely on and there was never a need to say goodbye! I respected her and loved her, and do until this day. I attended college on the west coast, and moved back east where I managed a small store. The only time I could devote to my music was in church on Sundays and prayer meetings during the week. These were the times I enjoyed the most and gave it my all. I even found myself writing gospel songs all the while working hard at my job. I moved to Texas in the early 1990's and settled down on a small farm on the outskirts of the rural town of Canton. Finding time now for my music was difficult and was usually around a campfire or late in the evening. Time was pretty much taken up with farm affairs until after the loss of a son who battled for life and now lives it in higher places. Through this battle, I learned something new about life and that is to "Live It"! Once again, I have renewed my love for singing country western music. I have had the opportunity of recording my first CD in January 2006 at Rosewood Studios in Tyler, Texas, followed by a promo CD in Feburary,2006 at North Shore Audio Visual Studio, in Rocky Mount, Missouri. I have now completed my new Nashville Album,"The Truck Stops Here" released through "Fence Line Records" at Denny Martin Studios,Nashville,Tenn. Where my music takes me is yet to be seen, but where I take my music is from my heart. I love it and I hope you do too! "Who Said It Wouldn't Last?" is an upbeat and catchy song which I'd choose as my favourite. And the play on words in "Quit While I'm Behind" catches the eye, and the music catches the ear with a satisfying story in the song. "Down By the River" is a gospel song, and has that unmistakeable gospel organ sound and another song with purpose, and good lyrics. This is one of Jessee's own songs. "Look Away" is a longer song, but an interesting, family history story unfolds with a familiar refrain. "New Man" - I love the bluesy, rock style of this track. Some nice fiddle intro into the waltz time "Deep in the Heart of This Texan". And "If You See Hanna in Louisiana" is a fun songs, with a good beat, and tells another interesting little story. And it's so refreshing to pick up a well presented album, that has easy to read track titles, plain white text on black, with times (credits inside) and interesting photos. Plus Jessee's contact details - not always included on many albums, which means a search, when you want to email artists and tell them how good you think his/her album is! Well done, Jessee - a VERY nice album this one! The Truck Stops Here Jessee, liked this c.d. so well that I bought a second one to send to my sister in Missouri. Just keep them coming! Sue M.
