Midget & Giant

Bubye.

About Me

Midget was born, he grew for a short time and then stopped when puberty kicked in.
Eleven years later Giant was born. She grew rapidly, overtaking Midget in the autumn of 1997 and continues to grow.
In the summer of 2005 their worlds collided when they met through a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend. Midget thought it would be really funny to be in a band with Giant, Giant was unconvinced. After much bullying from other bands, Giant had no option but to agree to the union. Having played two drunken gigs in April 2006, a short break followed for Giant to complete her A-levels.
They used to come together to play acoustic songs in a bid to entertain you. But now they have gone their seperate ways.
Giant sings and plays guitar. Midget plays guitar and occasionally mumbles in the background.
We hope you enjoy.
Also, go have a butchers at these bands because they're very good.

Sounds Like: REVIEWS
"...this duo create some of the most beautiful yet bleak music you'll hear this year...their gentle but downbeat sound is a welcome break from the mainstream toss masquerading as 'acoustic music' these days" - Big Cheese January 2007

"...amazing" - Matt White, BBC Radio Manchester

EP REVIEWS
"...you can't help but feel strangely uplifted by the ethereal beauty of the vocal/guitar interplay, and it's no small feat to create such tranquil, calming music yet keep your attention totally throughout." - A Short Fanzine About Rocking

LIVE REVIEWS
"...they play sullen, gut-wrenching acoustic music which is both moving and thoughtful enough to more than hold your attention...after 30 minutes Id experienced something that I can only describe as hauntingly beautiful." - Punktastic

DEMO REVIEWS
"...some of the most delicate yet bleak music Ive heard for a long time, with little more than two guitars and Lauras gentle voice on offer... I finished up listening to this CD equal parts depressed and impressed" - A Short Fanzine About Rocking (Big Cheese magazine fanzine of the year 2006)

"...haunted gravelled female vocals over duel acoustic guitars...the songs are very catchy and memorable" - Black Sheep Zine

"...Midget and Giant are one such guitar/vocal duo and provide us with some music that is as gorgeous and tranquil as it is uplifting and it's perfect for winding down." - Punkscene.co.uk
