Urban Child

Known to family and friends as Daps, he was born in Lagos but bred in London. At the impressionable age of 7 when he began listening to artists such as Snoop Dogg, Tha Dogg Pound and the late Mr. Shakur- he knew that rapping was going to be second nature. He didnt actually pick up a microphone until he was about 13 years old, but his lack of vocabulary made him an average MC. As Daps' general knowledge grew, so did his skills and he picked up the moniker "Urban Child"- the reasoning behind this? He was a young boy on the streets of North West London known due to his rhyming ability, skills on the basketball court and other "extra curricular activities" addressed in his songs. He moved to Connecticut for a year at the age of 17 to play basketball and then on to college in North Carolina where he currently resides. By the age of 19, his prowess on the mic (and in music production) had become undeniable...With fans across the world, Daps (or Urban Child) is making his way up the ladder of respect in this dog eat dog industry.
