I started playing music quite late,15 years of age. From the beginning I knew what instrument I would be playing. Da Bass!! I've always been into music since I was a small kid so with the first real money I had made by working during my summer vacation when I was 16 I bought my first bass. The only bass I could get my hands on was from a friend of mine at that time. Be a real big Mark King (Level 42) freak I started slapping straight away. It was quite funny because I had the technique already it came naturally to me probably because I watched him so much back then. The first song I could play was "Love Games" from Level 42. Later I got into Stanley Clarcke and Marcus Miller. Miller influenced me bigtime in playingstyle and sound also. Of course one can not be influenced by all these guys and not say they aren't by Larry Graham and Jaco Pastorius :) 2 of the greatest of all time! At the moment I'm playing bass with 2 bands. My own band FunkFuse and then with MoGroove who you can also find here on myspace. With FunkFuse we did several gigs featuring special guests. Normally being a mostly instrumental band we had Miss Camille and Chantal Kashala come and do a couple of gigs with us for an example. Two of the top female vocalists here in Belgium. One of the biggest compliments I've ever had was by Patrick Dorcean. A very very very good drummer here in Belgium. He played with Daniel Romeo's band some years back. We played together at a gig with my band, FunkFuse, where our drummer couldn't make it that evening. After the gig,we've never played together before Patrick and me, he said I reminded him of the time he played with Daniel Romeo,that we have somewhat the same way of playing :) The guitarplayer of my band said that also when we first played together. You must have been watching Daniel Romeo a lot he said to me while I've heared about him often but never had seen him play at the time :) Anyway,I hope you enjoy some of the music I will place here. You may always let me know what you think and give me some feedback. For the future I 'm writing some material for my own project and writing together with my brother Paul some cool Funk/Rock stuff. 2 be continued....
