About Me

Yeah, I'm one of those women with cats. Moved around like mad as a kid, I've been in so-cal since high school, so San Diego (sadly enough) has become my "home." I live out in the canyons, and my dream is to have hop poles laden with organic hops and a killer garden full of good eatin' while whittlin' some with a homebrew blackberry mead That isn't happenin' with my fucked up schedule anytime soon. I'm a recovering political junkie, I'm on the green/liberal end of the political spectrum. Yeah, I'm a tree hugger and if you don't like it, go eat dirt and leave me the fuck alone. Take your religious text with you and don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

My Interests

Most things that involves the 7 deadly sins.

I'd like to meet:

Totoro and Nekobus.I would love to meet Jason Scott Lee. He's doing amazing shit with his land in Hawaii, and I just want to borrow his green thumbery.Michael Jackson- not the freak show, but the beer critic.George Carlin. Bills Hicks = RIP, unfortunately.Herman Li (of Dragonforce).

Music:

There's very little I don't like. I do admit to having a warm fuzzy place in my heart for classical, industrial, blues, punk and metal. Morphine gets special mention because Mark, RIP, was a fucking genius.

Movies:

Guillermo del Toro rocks- even his sub-par shit. Sin City, Ghost In The Shell, Anything by Miyazaki, The Hunger, Hero, Immortal Beloved, Fight Club, Queen Margot, Alien, Aliens, Pitch Black, Gattaca, 28 Days Later, Susperia, Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead (the remake rocked), Blade, The Ring (Japanese version- the US version can suck my dick), Blade Runner, Kung Fu Hustle, Santa Sangre, Dead Ringers, Chunking Express, Farewell My Concubine, Evil Dead trilogy, Shall We Dance (The Japanese version, the US version is a travesty and worthless waste of film), Baxter (French) , anything with Godzilla (not the US remake bullshit)

Television:

I don't.

Books:

Too many to list, but one of my favorite books since my childhood is Le Petit Prince, published in 1943, by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The Dark Matters Trilogy by Pullman was brillant. Aside from that, I enjoy reading nonfiction, especially those dealing with epidemiology , invasive species, sociology, abnormal psychology and politics.

Heroes:

George Carlin, because he is just the most brilliant man on the planet. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, because that woman is the hardest, most determined woman I know. Jim Hightower, because the man is one of the most hilarious but insightful political writers around.
