Influences: DJ Statik became fascinated with electronic music at a time where there was not as much differentiation as there is today, with respect to genres. He had the chance to see the various branches of electronic music take form. His roots are from all corners of electronic music including trance, ambient, idm, house, and others. It is perhaps this understanding of different types of electronic music and an appreciation for the history of electronic music, that helped to shape Statik's sound into what it is today. He is different from many other trance DJ's in that he brings an understanding and appreciation for electronic music as a whole, which influences his track selection, mixing techniques, etc.
