Tucker Livingston

I am a guitarist and singer/songwriter, born into a family of artists and musicians. In 2003 I won a grant to record an album with the Austin Music Foundation's Incubator Program. It was produced by renowned jazz guitarist and producer Mitch Watkins. Later, acclaimed choreographer Gina Patterson of Ballet Austin created a breath-taking dance to the music called "No Defense" for the Austin 2004 Winter Ballet. The record is available on Apples iTunes music store and CDBaby.com. There is a new solo record I wish to one day release, and I have a new rock project band "The Distance Ladder" that I am trying to get into the studio to make a record with as well. On a different tangent, I am currently trying to find funding to study at length traditional South Indian Carnatic music, an art I believe will offer me a deeper understanding of music itself. Part of the exposure to this music was via tours with my father, who is also a musician. We traveled throughout Asia, Africa and the Middle East on grants from the U.S. Government since 1998 as goodwill ambassadors of music. Our aim was to forward the positive communication between cultures as we shared experience in the joy of collaborative music with musicians from around the world. I have played the Austin City Limits Music Festival, Kerrville Folk Festival, been featured on Voice of America, and continue give concerts in Texas and around the world..................
