I like the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, History Channel, AMC, and IFC. When I had showtime my all time favorite show was The L Word! I grew up watching Roseanne and now find myself buying every fucking season! I don't know why! I just have to, I cant help myself!
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won’t feel insecure around you. It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone. As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others." -- I heard this in a movie and I thought it was so inspiring! It was written by Marianne Williamson. I have not really checked out her full body of work as of yet, but she is off to a good start with me.My all time favorite writer........... I dono, but Hunter S. Thompson is in the top 3! The last book I read was "Cunt" It was a woman's lib. book. Very Interesting, and somewhat odd. The book I will be reading next is "Freakonomics".
Bill Hicks, so many reasons why I view him as a god, I mean hero. He was so ahead of his time. He told us what was wrong with our big picture, but nobody listened. And now look where we are. I am sure he is rolling over in his grave with laughter. Janis Joplin, yes I know she died of a drug overdose. But she did what she wanted, when she wanted, how she wanted, and I dig her for that. George Carlin is also my hero for the same reasons Bill is. But my all time/most important is my grandmother. She is a strong, well rounded woman. I owe everything I am/the person I have become to her.
