YANKAR GONZALEZ RODRIGUEZ

Born in Florida, Camaguey, Cuba(25/4/1983). Began music studies at age 9, before completing his education in Havana, Yankar had been performing and collaborating with various well known musicians in Cuba. Participating in Trombone competitions in classical genre. Was part of Pedrito Calvo's band, Isaac Delgado, Gardi. In 2005, moved to Toronto, Canada, playing with Isaac Delgado's band. In the moment Yankar plays and arranges for different bands in the city, such as Cache,Luis Mario Ochoa and Cimarron, Black Market, Cafe Cubano, NEw Cuban Generation, MIreya Escalante and Latin Street and others. IN special occasions has performed with Hilario Duran's big band project, Andy Montanez, and others. Yankar continues to develop as an artist and musician, composing, arranging and playing.He is also making scorefilms, composing, and writing music for any kind of orchestration.
