Subverse started out as UK's ONLY all-ages club that takes place once a month in London. The idea is that anyone - whatever age they are - is welcome to come along!! Since January 2006 Subverse Wales started its life in The Studio Bar, Merthyr, and have had monthly headliners such as The Automatic, Skindred, Hondo Maclean, Adequate 7, Dirty Perfect, Betty Curse, etc, and has since moved on to Bedwas as well!The plan now is to hold forthnightly showcases on a Saturday afternoon in Barfly, which will feature the hottest up and coming bands from all over the UK, as well as various DJs from South Wales'best alternative clubs and even special guest DJ spots by some of your favourite rock stars, playing the songs you want to hear - anything from nu-metal to punk, ska to emo, rock to hardcore!! Plus, there will be a ton of promos and giveaways from top companies such as Capcom games, Atticus Clothing, Lowlife Clothing, Hughes & Kettner and many more! So come along for a night of fun and frivolity, free stuff and the music that you like rather than the music you are told to like - without worrying about age restrictions.
