the bands name is half past tomorrow. They have a drummer but they decided to move him to guitar so now they have 2 guitarists and a bassist. So now we are putting a search out for a new drummer. I'm first putting the band together making sure they are all dedicated. Than i'm going to get them some recording time put together a few demos... Talk to a few friends and see if i can get them signed to a label. If they can't get a demo together i'm going to book a few shows and see how they do. I've been to a few of there practices they are great at covering shit and they are a decent band when coming up to compose music.

I play Bass Guitar, I got a good 3-4 years of experience. I also have 3 years of successful band experience. I've been to multiple recording studios not big recording studios but they were still pretty sweet. I've played many shows all around illinois. I also sing so i hope thats a plus. But anyways my equipment I would say is pretty decent i play a Fender Jazz bass. My amp is nice I play out of a cab of which i dont know the name but there are four speakers two 15 in and two 12 in so it's nice but then the head I use for it is the Ampeg B500DR it gets up to 300 watts of some nice bass power. I also own a second bass and that is a Fernandes Bass its very nice. I also just fixed it up so it sounds ridicuously amazing. Now what music I'm looking to play is sort of a wide variety. I've played in Hardcore Bands, Pop Punk bands, Alternative and Acoustic. So really any of those I'm all up for Im more of a pop punk writer but I got more experience in a hardcore band so my stage presence will just own the stage. I'm 15 years old I'm a freshman in high school. My age may be young but I could go anywhere, so out of state shows Im all up for. But yea I live in Yorkville Illinois. tell that kid to shut up. his friend is dumb for not getting to the show early enough to get a good spot in line. there was a good maybe 300kids in clearwater by the end of protests set, with kids still comming in. people started lineing up at 4:00 knowing the show would sell out. Im sick of kids always trying to blame promoters and production teams for stuff that is not there fault. i admit, the doors opend a little late. but that is because there was so much stuff to set up and sound check. having 6 bands trying to set up at clearwater in less then 2 hours is pretty difficult. not to mention that the last two bands had there own lighting and had to patch it through the boards. and the majority of the bands had there own light tec, and front house guys which also delayed alot because they had to be given an overview of the boards to make sure they knew how to use everything.
Bottom line; if you know a show is going to sell out, and you want to see the first band, get your butt in line a couple of hours early.

We don't know. I do know that in his manifesto, he confirms what Hawthorne Heights said about Abby Valentine being blamed for shit and quitting. I know Abby. She 'made' Knights Of Columbus in Arlington Heights with her company, Action Heights. It was her venue before it was anyone else's. She was the first one to bring the big bands there, like Fall Out Boy, etc. She's even in one of their videos, talking to the police. Abby's the nicest, most sweetest person you could know. I'm sure she can shed some light on this Victory Records drama...if she is willing to deal with their lawyers.
Either way, this thing is probably a better read than any Harry Potter book.

R: but i would have broke soon after that anyways. first i was just trying to avoid the "straight edge" moniker because i feel kids who dont know better come and fuck it up. then all my friends who were edge started breaking and i started to lose faith in it and then after that i realized that 2 years had passed without a single sip of alcohol and that i was a different person now than when i claimed my edge and what didnt appeal to me then could be different now

I think thats a really cool thing to say. I dont know if you know or not, but I am edge myself, have been for getting close to two years now. I know what its like to be around drugs and alcohol and ive seen what it can do to people, which is why I decided it. There is a lot of pressure from a lot of people and from time to time I get shit for being edge and get that feeling that maybe its not exactly the best thing but its things like what you said that definitely makes me feel better about the whole situation. I just thought I'd let you know.

My official stance on sXe: I tried drinking, and it made me violent, so I stopped. I tried pot, and it made me paranoid, so I stopped. I didn't touch it all through high school, and I still haven't, because i know that for me personally, it's a gateway to terrible decisions. It's not the fact that people do these things that bothers me, because I do believe they can be enjoyed in moderation by many people, and I don't support rageXedge kids who beat down anyone they see with a cigarette. What bothers me is that some people, even though they wake up and regret nearly every action they took between 7 PM and 2 AM the night before, can go out and do the same thing next weekend. It's a cycle of stupidity. I don't want to be part of it, and I respect sXe kids who are sXe because they don't want to be part of it either.

tBS bN 969: i was thinking that the fact that I keep my rates so low in comparison to other places ($12 per hour) would make it more appealing to bands because they save money but at the same time i think its having adverse affects because one band mentioned, "we were skeptical because of the price but your recordings sound really good"
tBS bN 969: so im thinking after i tackle this group of projects i'd bump the price up to like $16 or something..cause i still want to keep it lower than everyone else.
tBS bN 969: the lowest rates i've seen are like $20 per hour, then professional places are like $30-40+ and they charge for like every click of the mouse along the way, so i like keeping it low
