Among other unrelated things, I am a musician/producer based in Paris. I have been involved in several "world" & groove projects : former production assistant for Giant Step (NY); satellite member of the Funkappeal collective (on flute); former coproducer of the "Voyage en Tziganie" festival (Paris) and CDs (Naïve); helping hand on the new Variations Caraïbes festival (Paris)...
I am patiently working on 2 projects :
- a "world" jazz/groove festival & compilation CD series. Summer 2008 would be a nice time to roll it out.
- a small-format stage project : 1 lead singer & 2-3 backing musicians including myself on guitar & flutes. In my dreams, I hear splendid vocals, tight polyrythmic percussions, dizzying vintage grooves and creative live sampling. I hear a sound deeper than a full horn & strings section yet lighter than whispered poetry... Reality is another story. I hope to -finally- get some work done this summer (2007).
UPDATE APRIL 07 : I am back in Paris. The accoustic soul trio is almost on its way. Rehersals should start in May...
I am always on the lookout for outstanding, talented, charismatic artists. Thank you to the ones who have already touched me. They make my life worth its while.
