Jenera began her musical career by composing lyrics and simple melodies that were mostly confined by her ability to play the guitar. As she was able to impress other musicians and subsequently surround herself with more experienced instrumentalists, the complexity of her compositions quickly grew with her rapidly improving guitar playing. Within a year or two, Jenera found herself performing with regularity, as first part of an acoustic duo and later fronting a hard rock band in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Jenera further developed her material, skill level and stage persona performing at various bars, coffee houses, weddings, company events and parties throughout Northern California and Western Nevada until she became the proficient and intriguing artist she is today. Jerera's audiences have ranged in character from drunken and rowdy snowboarders at various Lake Tahoe ski resort events to mild mannered wedding congregations and everything in between. All of this diversity has provided Jenera with the skills, not to mention lyrical inspiration needed to adapt easily to most musical situations and has turned Jenera into an easy-going, likable and genuine performer that is always sure to captivate and enchant a crowd.
