I am here for Friends

About Me

been to many places, read too many books. done a lot of stuff. sometimes fun, sometimes dangerous, sometimes illegal. sometimes all three. have lots of stories.......... label me a goth if you like, but you wont catch me in a frilly shirt in the near future. besides after twenty odd years of being shunned i reckon ive earned the right to wear what the fuck i like nowadays... haunted the square in a past life, now the hair is shorter but the shoes remain the same....... really cant be doing with blowing my own trumpet(fnar!) so ill leave it to my best pal to describe me- "fiercely loyal idiot who refuses to tidy up his messes and uses far too much stardrops around the home. Also incredibly easy to wind up, with hair like julius ceaser and also is vain beyond belief. generally though a likeable rather splendid mate..well i reckon anyway. oh and he does smell of poo and wee" and rather ominously.... "A man of acute wit, and hidden depths waiting to be plundered" ooooooh.......... and best of all... "The most contradictory mix of characters I have ever come across.... not literally of course ;o)... a shy and bashful egotistical show off. A blunt, sarcastic sensitive soul. A cheeky rude well mannered gentleman and last but not least a serious, thoughtful fecking halfwit!

My Interests

yes i have them........ bike riding, two wheels, lots of carbon fibre, military grade titanium and ott eyewear/lycra. love it. muddier/wetter/colder bloodier i get the better. love cyclesport in general, still full of heroism and hard work, even with the curse of training with drug assistence (you at the back-stop shouting hypocrite!!) am a godlike guitar hero too. no false modesty here...shame i cant sing for shit though....playing out with friends/clubs/beer all the usual same as yourself. painting, sculpting, more painting...oh and am a male, so therefore i thrive on videogames. detest football with passion though...

I'd like to meet:

ooh famous or real life? well most of my heroes are literary ones so it will be passing difficult to meet them unfortunately, and the ones that were real were gallant rakes who died a pointless violent and premature death....rules them out too. dunno! anyone friendly who crashes the same scene more than welcome, especially if you like to play out too! i love myspace and can talk for england, so do witter away!unless of course you are A- a crap goth who without a hint of irony sends pictures of yourself in your badly decorated bedroom (yes you) with horrific eighties hair.... B- a crap goth who once watched an episode of charmed/hex/buffy/least haunted and has decided he/she is a witch....C- a crap faux goth band. if youre having to add me to your friends list you aint doing too well are you?.... heres how it works. you get big, famous, become cool, then i add you and pretend i was into you when you were still playing toilets.... D- bones, (unsurpringly a crap goth) as frankly you are a fucking arse. . . . . ............................................................ ................................

Music:

if i had to pick a band i couldnt be without, twould be the cardigans or ladytron, no question but am big big fan of serious looking germanic types singing pretentiously over techno style naffery, though i freely admit cant tell most of my cds apart....anything shoegaze through NIN to Ladytron to Covenant. not ashamed of my trad goth roots though! anybody that has ever emerged onstage amid a cloud of dry ice ive probably seen at some point. a big hi to any Nephilim fans reading this, i was one of the loons hitchhiking round england to see them. ive probably blagged ticket money off you at some point....thanks. in no particular order.... rush (im not an old proggie! they are far more subversive than you would imagine), wolfsheim, korn, rosetta stone, sputnik, miss kittin, felix da housecat style stuff, late eightes greebo, kasabian, avril lavigne (!), queenadreena, assemblage23, misfits, clash, theatre of tragedy, sisters (old sisters, not the glitter band as they are now), old glam metal (pppp pussycat!), goteki, cash, numan, bauhaus, the neph, punk rock, skate rock, black rock, cock rock, rockabilly, flaming lips, elvis, voice of the beehive, timberlake (with the windows down and arm out of the car....) at the drive in, trail of dead, dmx, death cult, vnv so on so forth etc et al.........think we all know the score here people. i make no apologies for what i like, however my venom for shitallica and green day knows no bounds.....

Movies:

hmmmn. well anything with burt reynolds, big trucks and a whoopin and a hollerin rate highly here.......and helicopters. must have helicopters. black hawk down has exactly the right bullet to chopper to rock music and explosion ratio.....and zulu always raises a smile. armageddon makes me cry......every single time. as does pride and prejudice, which i watch wistfully....... fucking loathe the matrix, makes me want to gouge out my own eyes. but can do arty......love a film called mirror mask (youve never heard of it?) fave film is the duellists, or mr roberts, if you want to go look em up. oh and hentai.

Television:

is for wipeout and katamari. period.

Books:

ten of the best. tolstoy, mark twain, arthur ransome, conan doyle, hg wells, de marbot, random brontes, george macdoanald fraser, herriot, pullman......

Heroes:

anyone vaguely french who has waved a sword about on a horse, murat, lasalle, marbot, could go on but you have noooo idea who im on about so i wont, er anyone vaguely french who has ridden a bike, fignon, hinault, mottet and a random assortment of literary heroes, who unsurprisingly all seem to be vaguely french..........oh and jim rockford another suave bankrupt failure!
