Graphite Symphony

About Me

Graphite Symphony began back in early 2000. After building his own recording studio, Anthony Brown began gathering fellow musicians to record with. Even though he lived in the small town of Warren, PA, he assembled a group of amazingly diverse musicians. After two years of recording and writing, in Sept. of 2002, Graphite Symphony released "The Machine" and "Unbroken". These two CD's had a total of sixteen different musicians on them. Two weeks later, Anthony moved to Arizona to go to recording and engineering school. After graduating, he moved back to Warren in May of 2003. After taking some much needed time off, he decided it was time to get back into it. This time he decided he wanted more of a real band. So, he contacted guitar players Scott Redfield and Rich Alcorn. Both of which played on the first two CD's. In October of 2003, they began writing and recording. It soon became evident that what they were writing was bigger than they expected. In early 2004, they called upon Jim Cheronis to start singing on the tracks. Finally, in June of 2004, "The 9th Cycle" was finished. In May of 2006 it was time for Graphite Symphony to become a live reality. With a line-up consisting of Jim Cheronis (Lead Vocals and Harmonica) Anthony Brown (Keyboards and Vocals) Scott Redfield (Guitars and Vocals) Chris Lee (Lead guitars and Vocals) Darrin Payne (Drums and Vocals) and Mike Buffone (Bass). Graphite Symphony finally had the musicians and vocal ability to put it on the Stage.
