Life's a beach, you get sand in your shorts

About Me

I grew up in the San Francisco bay area of California and Salt Lake City, Utah. I spent a week each summer in Missouri at my Grandparents and settled in Western Washington, where I live with my wife and our cats.

I was in the scouts as a kid and made Eagle Scout. I spent a lot of time camping and in the outdoors. I also spent a lot of time working on old Studebakers as a teenager, now I can't stand to change the oil in the car.

I went to High school in Utah and moved the middle of my Jr. year back to California. I went to trade school for autobody work and worked at that for 2 years, my Parents were transferred to Washington and I tagged along. I eventually found myself in the construction industry, starting out as a laborer on a commercial job. I then worked for a small contractor for 3 years doing everything from the ground work to the roof, I then got a job doing staircases and custom trim which lasted 9 years, I have now worked for a remodel contractor/cabinet maker for more than the last 10 years, I enjoy creating things out of wood (if only I didn't have to deal with the humanoids!)

I enjoy the outdoors and love to spend time on our sailboat, a 27' Catalina that we purchased used in 2005.

I love to cook...not FruFru gourmet crap, where you put 2-3 little slices on a plate and drizzle some fancy sauce on it...
I like to cook real food...BBQ, Grilled and/or Smoked, Soups, Stews, Chili, Pasta dishes. I can also do a fairly good job of baking.

I'm not politically correct and really don't give a rat's ass.

When I grow up I want to be Andy Rooney

HTML code

Ok, learning how to do this stuff.  Changed a few things on the page, still trying to find out some things. I should be doing almost anything else but this.
