Thorny Woods (Looking for a LABEL)

We come from the southern lands to show the power of the extreme music in the ways of Black Metal. THORNY WOODS, from Brazil walks the path of the heretic music presenting its newest work called “Dendro Dreams”. Besides this full length album, yet to be released, we have developed a portfolio and we have released a promo in order to divulge our work. The Promo is called “Lobrego Macilento Preludio” and it contains 3 tracks of which 2 come from “Dendro Dreams” album.
In the Portfolio you it will find: the complete biography of the band, samples of all tracks of “Dendro Dreams”, detailed information of all the members of the band and, finally, our formal proposal to the Labels. Below this message we will give the link address for the portfolio download.
We aim to obtain any kind of support such as a promo review, a label indication for a possible release of Dendro Dreams or even the release itself. We are also available for interviews, gigs and material distribution worldwide.

Release 2008

2000 – Gaunt Beast and Dungortheb (Lord Maleficarum on that time) founded Thorny Woods. Affinity of ideas and the necessity of expressing revolt against a society stagnating before old fashioned ideals of the judeo-christian philosophy.
2002 – Dungortheb leaves the project. Domminus is invited to participating on the producing of the first demo “Amongstrees…”, released independently on that same year. The demo material was extremely well accepted by the Brazilian underground metal scene.
2004 – “Amongtrees...” conquers the world through a new set of 666 copies under the joint between Azagthoth Productions and Sephiroth. Agamemnom joins the group for new compositions and gigs. Dungortheb returns.
2005 – Before leaving, Agamemnom records a rehearsal preliminary to the definitive entering of Thorny Woods in studio. Baco substitutes Agamemnom and Dungortheb leaves. Without bassist, Baco assumes the instrument along with guitars during the recording of “Dendro Dreams”.
2006 – By September, approximately, a few songs from the recently recorded album “Dendro Dreams” are selected to form the promo album “Lôbrego Macilento Prelúdio” in order to give the public an idea of what is to come with the first album of Thorny Woods. Baco moves away from the group but does not lose the link with the band.
2007 – The excellence of “Lôbrego Macilento Prelúdio” reflects on a large amount of reviews* full of praise in many zines worldwide. Thorny Woods gets major visibility on world scenario. It was considered the national revelation band of the year and Lôbrego Macilento Prelúdio was considered the best demo by one team on dutch Vampire mag.
2008 – Krieg Records made a deal of releasing 100 k7 copies of “Lôbrego Macilento Prelúdio" in the United States, in July. Under specific care of gaunt Beast and Domminus only, Thorny Woods keeps promoting its material and seeking for a label to release “Dendro Dreams”.
