About Me

Kimber formed in early 2005 when a group of mates who met back at school decided it was time to form a band. Rob, Shaun Jon and Martin then set about writing and recording demos with the main aim of producing an EP.
Since the release of the EP, entitled 'Music To Strut To' the band have endeavoured to write and record as much as possible as well as playing gigs all over the two counties. Most of these gigs were small, low key events to build up experience. A highlight was playing a surprise gig at their former school back in July. Jon explains, "We named the band after one of our old teachers back at school and when we heard he was leaving we thought we'd send him off in style!" Another highlight was playing a well-received gig to over 500 Eastern European students back in July.
The summer was a busy one with the band performing at The Wyeside Festival, West Malvern Festival and the Big Event in the centre of Hereford. Along side this, they supported local favourites Brandon Steep and Frantik at gigs in both of the two counties.
Unfortunately the band decided to split in Autumn 2005 after losing some of their key members.
