Soul Corner plays alternative rock music, which has influenced from many music styles...you name it! Imagine a mix of heavy metal, punk, rock and roll, blues and jazz, even combined in one song, and expect the unexpected. Soul Corner won't be easily defined under one or more genre.
If you dig some mellow, soft, easy-listening stuff that you regularly hear on the radio, and if you are happy with that, good for you, pal, but you're in a wrong place now! Let's make a simple quick test: a) do you think Jessica Simpson makes great music? b) does Bryan Adams mean rock for you? c) are you saving all your cents to see Backstreet Boys alive? If the answer for one or more question is "yes", we congratulate you, since it seems you've found your happiness elsewhere - and you definately don't need our company - and we don't need yours. So, what the hell is your problem then, keep on surfin', day-dreamin' and watching the MTV, SUCKER!

Band Members: Aki Virtanen: guitars, vocals & keyboards
Aki Virtanen has played guitar for over 20 years. As a self-learnt musician he has familiarized himself with different music styles including rock and roll, metal, blues, jazz and flamenco. Aki has previously had two recording contracts with two different alternative rock bands. Unlike the other members of the band who live in Finland, Aki is living in the biggest European metropole, Istanbul, and besides making music he teaches sociology of education at a local university.

Timo Vehmas: drums
Timo "Timpa" Vehmas is a real veteran with over 20 years of experience in playing drums with multiple bands. Timo's Mitch Mitchell -type of challenging and improvising playing style makes him a live act worth seeing. Timo & Aki met in 1998 while Timo's and Aki's previous bands were sharing the same rehearsal room. Soon after their first meeting Aki asked him to join the Nanaimo Bars, Aki's band who was then looking for a professional drummer.

Timo PortimojÃ¤rvi: bass
Timo PortimojÃ¤rvi is a prominent bass-player, whose previous band Pushrods was close to a real breakthrough. Timo also played with Aki in Nanaimo Bars, replacing Henri in 1998. Besides, he played bass for half of those tracks on Twilight Report. Timo is not only an experienced and credited musician, but he also works as a project director at Eduta Institute and his specialization area is "web-based learning".

Juha "Izzi Snake" Uronen Vocals
is a real rock and roller, as a musician and in his personal life. He has performed with a bunch of bands all kind of music from blues to heavy metal. Izzi's trademarks are his unique rough voice and a full devotion to whatever he does. Besides singing, Izzi plays guitar, bass and drums too. Izzi took over the lead vocals in 2005 based on Aki's request, after Aki had listened to him performing with other bands, especially Lucky 313 .
