About Me

Welcome to my MySpace. There's a good chance you're here because of Extreme Makeover Home Edition, so I'll give you the basics. I was the scenic artist and lead muralist on the show, and have held that position since about midway through the second season. I have worked on almost all of the houses since then, and I was the only person on the whole crew - Ty Pennington included, to work on every house in season 3. Season 5 I am Art Director.I'll also let you know, just so everyone understands, that I am not your conduit to Ty, Paul, Preston, Paige, or Mick Jagger, for that matter. Please don't ask; I will not pass your message along to them. It is just better that way. Also, I have NO say in who gets selected for a home makeover. You must go through the regular show channels on the ABC.com website. That's it! I'll answer questions if I can. Thanks for stopping by! If you have other questions, you can always visit my website, http://www.nancyhadley.com

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I get to meet a lot of really wonderful celebrities on the show, but there are always more...so let's see. I'm a big Tina Fey fan, and Will Ferrell, too, and I would love to see the Daily show or SNL.

Music:

Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash...I love old country. And because i have a punk rock husband, I like that sound too...X, Bad Religion, and the Pistols.

Television:

Well, that would have to be Extreme Makeover Home Edition, but if I have the time, I love watching The Daily Show and The Office.

Books:

With all the travel I do, I read a fair amount. I love the Harry Potter series - way back before EMHE, I did a painting for JK Rowling, who I met at a book signing. A couple of months later, she sent me a very gracious thank you card, and told me the painting hangs in her study. I am fortunate to have a bibliophile husband, so when I finish one book, a new one magically appears.

Heroes:

First, my mom, and after that, I would honestly have to say all the amazing people I meet on the show. You would not believe the number of people who get no credit, but work through the night in terrible conditions to make magic. You see 1% on TV, but I am lucky enough to see the other 99%. Trust me when I tell you that people are good.
