My family and I moved from California to Houston, Texas, for our flight training at the United States Space Corps Training Center where I joined the Space Scouts. This is a program that Alpha Control had set up to recruit young people for future colonization missions. My "leadership abilities were proven" and I was elected president of the Houston chapter.
I am very close with my younger brother, Will, and I have an older sister Judy, who has a thing for our pilot, Major West. As Alpha Control's psychological tests predicted, I have been adjusting very well to the stresses and pressures of space travel - but I could use more friends - I hang around with our Robot, and sometimes Verda, an android friend of mine.
By the time of the Jupiter 2 launch, when I was 12 years old, I advanced to the 10th grade and have an I.Q. of 147.
I have a pet Bloop named Debbie.
