peacewoman for middle east and world peace (and LOVE)

About Me

I who call myself Peacewoman, a citizen of the world, have been living in Jerusalem since 1993. Born and raised in New York, I have spent a considerable amount of my life focusing on ways to innovate peace initiatives. I search my own soul and strive to find "new truth" applicable to the "new age". I am certain that the conflict in the Middle East can be solved by awakening LOVE in human hearts. I fully believe that Jews and Arabs, the children of Ibrahim/Abraham, can love one another if they can work to free their minds from the politics, brainwashing and paranoia of their respective cultures. Through my personal experience dialoging with "the other" I have proven to myself that patience, empathy, understanding and a loving heart can tear down the barriers that have been trapping us into an endless cycle of war and hatred throughout human history. I enjoy feedback and the readers creative ideas about promoting world peace. As a woman, I come to the forum with ideas and inspirations that the "gentler sex" might identify with instinctively. I hope and pray that all humankind will open their minds and hearts to the option of choosing LIFE! Insha-allah/ B'ezrat Hashem/ God willing! The first challenge for all of us, men and women, is not to learn, but to unlearn.

My Interests

Truth in LIFE, art and music, discovering world cultures, beaches, spending time in nature, physical exercise, entertaining guests, meeting people....enjoying life's many gifts bestowed upon us by God.... But mainly I am interested in communicating about PEACE in the Middle East and consequently, peace in the world.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet like minded, open minded men and women. Lovers of peace. People who desire an end to this madness of death and destruction. I'd like to meet people who belive with me that a better world is possible. A world of joy and laughter, music, art, children, and enough of everything for everyone!! And-- I'd also like to meet those who don't believe so that I may help them toward greater faith

Music:

Music as a very high art form, releases dimensions of spirituality that other art forms cannot. I love jazz, rock, torch songs, middle eastern music, love songs, from the 1920's till the present. Classical music, played in my childhood home, soothes the soul. (I grew up on the Beatles).....ANY music that touches my soul, makes me SING.

Movies:

I'm starting to see that LIFE is the BEST movie!!!! (I think we humans watch a lot of rubbish these days).....check out REAL LIFE---it's awesome. The characters are so REAL! lol

Television:

Forget it. most TV is propaganda. Unfortunately, governments never thought of TV as a tool to really educate populations toward enlightenment.

Books:

have read many... and would read more. I enjoy biographies, history, classics, novels... I'll try to read whatever you recommend to me. (I avoid thriller, horror, sci-fi, and dime store romance )

Heroes:

King David, King Solomon, Moses, Batpharoah/Batya, Gandhi-ji, Rev. Dr. M.L. King, Anwar Sadat, Lennon and Ono, & hey also Oprah --- and so many people who lived and still live for Peace... maybe also YOU!
