Hiram "Bigg Slyce" Wright was born on Cleveland's eastside 9/25/70. Similar to alot of other rap preformer's stories,Slyce and his family had very hard times when he was growin up. He has one sister he grew up with and three brothers he did not know till later on in life. His parents divorced when he was 12 forcing him to be the "man of the house. His mother (branch manager at National City Bank) worked very hard to provide a better life for her kids. They relocated to alot of different parts of Cleveland but eventually settled in a nice home in Cleveland Heights, OH. When Slyce left home he relocated back to East Cleveland. He lived in a rundown apartment with plenty of rats and roaches. He did security watch for that complex for free rent for about 6 months until new owners took over, leaving him with no job and no way to pay rent they were now asking for, and from there started a long list of inner city relocations, odd jobs, sellin weed andand occasional homlessness until him and his girlfriend found a house out in Lorain.Slyce always wanted to be a star in the rap music business. he first learned how to deejay from one of his cousins who was doing it in 1983. At 14 Slyce was deejaying parties with his friends and started rapping soon after. He decided to form a rap group with some friends in 1985 called Partnerz In Rhyme. which had so many members come in and out during the spread of 10 years accomplishing nothing other than learning how to produce when it came time to record songs. In 1995 Slyce found two steady (somewhat) members to form a new group called TRYBE. This group was probably Slyce's biggest accomplishment. They recorded and released an album called "Blessed,,Wit A Kurse" which had songs that contained "Trybal Elements" within them. They rapped with indian terms (tomahawks and so forth) and had trybal drums and loops to originalize thier sound. they did numerous shows and sold copies of thier album out of the trunk of Slyce's car hence the name of the label he started "Platinum Trunk Recordings"Slyce took off from trying to do anything with his music after his group disbanded in 1999 and went to driving semi truck cross country (the last way he thought he would be touring) While driving truck he decided to write songs again comming up with the sexy hit "Cherry Muffinz" and decided to do a solo album from there. he is now trying to take on a few more artists to retry his destiny to be a record producer ,rapper, deejay and label owner. The Journals of Eternity is the name of his upcomming solo project getting the title from another rap artist/friend who was violently killed in his own home. His friend kept a diary he wrote his raps in called the Journals of Eternity. The concept being he was reading words from dead people which is what Slyce is now doing as a dedication to him, by rapping some of the verses his friend wrote (Demetrius Sales a.k.a Mr. D. Sales R.I.P.) that he himself did not get a chance to say himself. (wow)
