“Stomping extreme thrashcore metalicus maximus from the South Coast of England†(Organ Magazine). 2003 saw Demonbreed roar onto the scene in local rock venues, and after an unstable period concerning the line-up, the addition of Stu completed what was to become the band with “enough energy to fuel Glastonbury†(Dead Ernest). Having been on the scene for 3 years previous to the creation of the band, the members have now got extensive experience of touring and recording. After releasing a self-financed EP in November 2004 (‘Middle Finger Up’), the band teamed up with Nick Hemmingway to produce the acclaimed ‘Closer to God’, an album that has received glowing reviews.
“Classic mayhemic thrashing drums, buzzing whining guitars, guttural growler of a vocalist. Demonbreed deliver it with an intense dark stomp, they have an edge that marks them out as a cut above the others…Seriously dark thrash intense heavy metal violence, nice one-recommended†(Organ Magazine)
“This is the sort of metal that will have you sticking your head into the stack to suffer even more pain, and grinning when your ears start to bleed†(Rock3 Radio)
“No, this isn’t a Lamb of God tribute band, it’s actually the first album from their British equivalent! ‘Closer to God’ has a solid sound with its high-paced crushing guitars and tight blast beats! 7/10†(Terrorizer Magazine)
Hard work at trying to make a stake in the local scene has resulted in substantial local support from a myriad of fans. Energetic and uncompromising live performances and intense audience participation have contributed to the band’s success, and international circulation of ‘Closer to God’ through Casket Records has generated support and admiration from overseas.
Further changes in the line-up coincided with Demonbreed touring with i-def-I late in 2006. The new members have fuelled the onset of a new album which is set for release later this year!
