ROCK 'N' ROLL, ROCKABILLY, CLASSIC CAR, BUICK

About Me

.. .. I have been into 50's music for about 30 years or so, during the mid 80's ran the Norwich comet rock and roll club, With Big K, Kevin Amiss the flanger (Mark), Kevin Chapman, Nicky and Dick (Simon Wesley Davies), the club was built up over 4 years with gigs every month and a Classic Car show for the last 3 years, the last car show we did we had over 100 cars and too many people through the gates, we decided to end the club as Norwich itself was not an easy place to run a rock and roll club back in those days, (the scene is much stronger and supportive today, with 2 or 3 gigs at least to go too every month), a couple of years went by and I gave the scene a rest, then bringing up the children, My highlight of rock and roll for the 80's was shaking hands with the KILLER, yep at the cambridge corn exchange April 5th 1985 - Mr Jerry Lee Lewis. Started going to car shows and gigs again about 3 or 4 years ago, In 2005 decided to go for the big one, yep! the trip to Memphis, done the Graceland tour and Sun Studios bit but could of stayed there permanently, on the same trip got to see New Orleans just a few months before Katrina hit, that was the friendliest place on earth!, then took the final tour to Nashville and back home, liked it so much went back again in 2006, this time with Charlie and Mel, this time New Orleans was not on the menu and had more time in Memphis, (Still not enough), later in 2006 purchased the 1949 Buick you see in the pictures, this is a car I have been wanting for more than 20 years, thanks Dave..
