My name is António José Narciso,im 36 years old now and i was born on 2 of november in 1970 i..m also an sagitarius ascendent my childood was spent in the house of some familiars because my parents were not really free to take care of me,they were at work and also my familiars wanted to be with me because i was the first couisin they had, was so sweet and dont know where i was more happy since then i liked to draw and arts and my family gaved me some pens and pencils or objects to draw and has a kid i always was on street playing football,fighting,walking on handmade cars and telling jokes rarely i was that intelectual shy boy staying at home drawing and studing i was more a rebel, then i becamed a teenager and was studying in 7º year of lyceum and playing football and handball at same time like a goalkepper and just didn..t passed for two years the school,i was in two places near the gym with girls we liked each other and with metal guys ,playing footbal and having some girlfriends and with stoned people or i was at principal studying room with the very well student boys and intelectuals i had an haircut typical of the eighties just like Bono Vox on Unforgetable Fire era and sometimes at school some friends called u2 man because i was a big fan of them at that time i was after school always listening to music:old scorpions,iron maiden,Ac/dc,Saga,bob marley,Peter Tosh and forever u2, and i remember to saw a concert on a little stage with a band from Alverca they were called Triangles and Balls and had a song also called Luna that we apreciated and my friend Luis Lázaro was also studying in my school and sometimes i saw him and he was always with a company of a girl i think his my best friend and when we were really kids he was always playing games on Spectrum and i was near him and watching him since then we have the paranoia of drawing,then i formed a band and went to some musical studies with my dear friend Janito also known for João Reis
he was also a bass player and had some bass books with him on school he had a band called Zircus Mamimus and they made a video for Pop Off an ola program about altternative music in Portugal then i discovered he studied on Nascimento School in Alverca then i went to studied there two for about three years and i was a left hand and my teacher tryed with me to play normally but it was impossible then now Janito plays just in a covers band called Declinios (www.declinios.com)i remember that he never studied for philosophy it was the 10º and 11º of lyceum and my teachers said i was one of the few that deserved to follow arts studies,but going back on time when i was studing on 9º year of school that was when we decided to form a band and i becamed a little bass player and remember to saw my firsts concerts just like Radio Macau and Sérgio Godinho and on music and concerts i always
fell atracted to the bass instrument,our wave in the group of friends was more into gothic and avantgarde we listened to:Joy Division/New Order,U2/Virgin Prunes,Echo and the Bunnymen,Sisters of Mercy/the Mission,Bauhaus/Love and Rockets,Alien Sex Fiend,Death in June,Jesus and Mary Chain,the Cure,Dead Kennedys,Peste & Sida,Mão Morta,Radio Macau,Xutos e Pontapés,and played at our band called Great Grey Garbage (Grande Lixo Cinzento) every weekend and when we started the band i asked them wath about Heavy Metal?and they said noooo and the group just used to make fell limited only to Goth and some alternative i started to listen to Metal when i was very young but for many years i stayed away from him,i had an Ibanez guitar and Zé Pedro (hes now an arquitect and dont sing anymore) was our singer,Luis Lázaro our solo guitar player (hes now a designer and after our band tried to play with Pop Dell Arte but nothing done),Rodolfo Bacatum our rythm guitar player (hes now an enginner and sometimes wants to play with others but loves music too) and we had a drum machine,i used to watch videos and saw musical programs and then i used to record some clips and concerts it was important because no one was doing this at my hometown there was no bands here in Vila Franca de Xira a city of traditions of bullfighting and you can see our local instruments shop at www.discosom.com its just about 24 km from Lisbon i had some ideas inside me but never discused them with the band and Lázaro (www.myspace.com/luis_lazaro) was the guy that did almost everything,we spent the time playing i said it was every weekend but some of them says it was every day,reading,driking beer and wine we used to dress big dark clothes,leather jackets and tropper boots and went to discotheques and sometimes be late at night in Lisbon and bairro alto and sometimes to some countrys or citys we liked it was the 80s.In 90s we were more at alternative taste,things like sonic youth and Pixies had some influence on our group because i also enjoy some indie/alternative stuff like Felt,My Bloody Valentine,House of Love,Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins and some strange music like Cocteau Twins,Dead Can Dance,This Mortal Coil or Psychic Tv and Skinny Puppy,and then our sound changed and we had more people playing with us sometimes areal drummer and a keyboard then apeares a singer called cowboy in 1990 and he was from Alverca,he was always singing with us and was ahead of the time we just undersatnd the guy ten years later,he was a drug addict and there was things inside and outside the band that i didn..t liked,he done some lyrics about Che Guevara and Portugal we done some concerts with no songs just by improvisation and played in some festivals and we had some demos by tape and Adolfo Luxuria Canibal (Mão Morta singer) listened some songs and said he only liked the bass wich make me fell very proud,then Cowboy killed himself in 1995 then we just gave up playing with our band we never talked about the band again and we were felling very sad and confused but we deserved to play again and still doing it but we refused to play because of his dead,still in touch with music sometimes alone other times in group we used to talk and adore rock bands and went to concerts,you know!!!then we used to listen to Marilyn Manson,Young Gods,Ministry,Nine Inch Nails,Rob Zombie,Rammstein,and apreciated only a few metal bands like Fear Factory,Metallica,Megadeth or sepultura i was always thinking to have a noise metal project and when i went out to bars and discos it was metal music that made me more shinning but i discovered heavy metal again and some friends like Pedro Caldeira (www.luxferre.com) made me copies of many metal bands that i was anxious to have now im more into heavy,black,doom,GOTHIC METAL and im trying much more to creat and make music my perpective its diferent and i will be true to me and my style i only play in gothic movements if you want mixed with other styles i really love gothic metal and i have listened also to bands like Crematory,Moonspell,Anathema,Tiamat,Amorphis,Paradise Lost,Type O Negative and many black metal bands like Cradle of Filth,Mayhem,Decayed,Corpus Christii,Venom,Burzum,Immortal,Dimmu Borgir,Satyricon,Marduk and others its a style that i apreciate and makes me fell atracted too,metal its something that runs in my veins and makes my heart pump i still love and respect the most important Heavy bands just like Metalica,Iron Maiden,Black Sabbath and Steve Vai but i dont like bad metal bands it can be a strange felling because in the past i could have listened metal bands but after the studies i listened to some radio shows like som da frente and António Sérgio had also lança chamas program but i never listened them i was thinking it..s just too noisy and the bands must be shitty and i was really interested in going on local cd..s shops and see the metal arquive to see how things going but never did,i also am that kind of boring guy that..s always messing with the friends:to go dinner,to listen to music,to visit them,to play football and computer games and to see naked girls,im very near and dear to Bacatum..s family im always with them each time i can and his father was the greatest bullfighter on earth in certain ways and reasons he really was because he did about 2000 performances on arenas in all the world and hes the only one that acted in all continents,he died about three years of cancer and incurable things,were thinking to make a site later about his life on arenas but i dont know much about webdesign but im still learning,ive also lost my beloved mother in the year of 1991 with an aneurism when i was very young and a student waiting to go to Arts highschool so bad things have happened to me but i might stay strong and keep on living because we just have one short live and death will join us all soner or later,i just love women:a very beautiful creature of god..s creation specially the gothic womans and i like to went to some bars like Limbo and Quinto império and like to see some tattos shops and gothic metal shops too i just adore all the things and also enjoy some musical shops cause i like the tshirts the pins and almost everything,ive been drawing some rock stars at this time i finished two oil paintings of Rob Zombie,Deicide and one Moonspell callled Wolfheart nothing original,and made also some original paintings but with religious caracter just to make same expositions on some regional gallerys,to show some people my work all the critics i recieved are great because i can do and try to do my best and im very good and near perfection but now i regret all the time i spent doing almost nothing and i cant take it anymore and im trying to make two projects this year,one band inside movements like Goth,Doom and Metal and other band playing covers like Punk,Alternative,Metal and Goth i had a project of covers for about two years and it was something that i never really felt to do in the past,but it was just great to play some songs from great bands on my bass,i had a help from tablatures from books and internet and sometimes i don..t really know who i did all the bass lines but they were just fixed inside my mind and soul but at these days i..m just a normal guy that loves arts and play bass that had a band and this lines are about my musical times and our experiences with instruments and hope some day to have a big band and made some great expositions and be someone diferent (why not?) and this is just the begining and if i turn myself into someone famous i..ll never forget my greatest friends even by net you know who you are.
