About Me

I love love , fairies, elves, pixies, hobbits, alebrijes and butterflies; México and its picturesque little towns Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, Puebla, San Juan del Río, Teques y Tequis, México City and its volcanoes Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl - my beloved and esoteric Teotihuacán Pyramids on ancient Tenochtitlán, Aztecs and ancient mystical cultures - Jim Morrison walking down the Death's Lane touching Quetzalcóatl (Aztec prophet); music and singers and all the pain they bring; books and magazines; my wonderful new life in the UK and my life in México; eating out in México City; rainy afternoons - rainy evenings driving; speeding on the motorways while having momentums with music; my beloved friends; shopping spree at King's Road's vintage boutiques and lovely shops and get my stationary at Mayther in Marlow , long walks through Rue de Rivoli in Autumn, mussels in Brugge and rain in Scotland; tall café mocha please - no whipped cream; sitting down in a cozy café reading alone; my MOLESKINE black Italian agenda-journal-bestfriend; my loneliness; walks in Mexico City's Central Park Chapultepec with my mum and staying the whole day in the National History and Antropology Museum in México City - as well as the D'Orsay in Paris and the Tate Modern in London; brunches at trendy hotels in México City and all the fantastic restaurants in quirky areas in the city, W Hotel in México City, Las Ventanas al Paraíso Hotel in Los Cabos, many spas within England,a lush villa in Portugal, a lovely hotel in Sicily - espresso in the mornings with fresh tomatoes on the vine ; cheese, tomatoes, olives, sardines piccanti, avocado, salmon, tuna and Mexican food; depressing music, uplifting music and mariachis - chill out and world music, celtic and my yoga music; Buddha and my mentor - Tibet and Hinduism (Bhagavad Gita and The Upanishads), all the peace of mind MEDITATION brings to me; the lovely feeling of him waking up by my side; my MUM and her funny side; driving cars; drinking on planes; sex; CHOCOLATE , Belgian and Mexican; the similarities between Portobello Road and Coyoacán market in México City; thunderstorms, where's the sun? in México; vainilla coffee with bailey's, cognac y un tequila con limón; Tin-Tan y Mauricio Garcés, mexican old cult movies, Pedro Infante no ha muerto!!!, Sara García and the other three and I'm in love de Pedro Armendáriz en Enamorada (1947); dining out with a Martini or a Cosmopolitan; clothes on Kate Moss but better on me especially Agent Provocateur ; my new sexy dress; all my wardrobe; my necklaces - my silver rings ; my Mexican friends, my Colombian best friend; Arabian nights ; Urban Outfitters, TopShop, Gap, Vivianne Westwood (her ankle boots are wonderful), Chloé, Prada, Miu Miu and tiny boutiques like Grace in Beaconsfield and indie designers like KARIN HERRERA ................. and me! It's all about me! I'm not looking for anyone and no-one is looking for me..... I DO NOT EXIST BETWEEN 6PM AND 8PM (GTM). I DO NOT EXIST ON SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS' MORNINGS.

My Interests

Music is my priority! Books, travelling, shopping, trying food from exotic countries... Andy Warhol, Liechtenstein, Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh. Quentin Crispin, Leigh Bowery, Pita Amor, Charles Baudelaire, Octavio Paz, Jorge Luis Borges, Mexican intellectuals and many interesting people from here, there and everywhere. Benito Juárez, Disraeli and Price Machiavello. Fridíiiiisima Kahlo and Diego Rivera Mexican paintings - Frida's painful love, Mexican muralists like Rufino Tamayo. Impressionism and Surrealism, Cubism and Paul Klee's exhibition in México City 15 years ago. Showing a writing stlye full of soul, with a mixture of colourful Latina taste, pain, love, deceit, denial, Mexican mariachi country music and the voice of someone who will remain in my heart forever. This is one of my favourite paintings: 'Las Dos Fridas', Frida Kahlo.

I love music, I'm into my iPod all day long. My favourite bands are basically indie ones, but in general are these: The Smiths, Led Zepellin, Depeche Mode, King Crimson, U2, YES, Supertramp, Van Der Graff Generator, Jean Michel Jarre;, Talking Heads, New York Dolls, ABC, Clan of Xymox, Sigur Ros, The Sugar Cubes, Peter Gabriel, Primal Scream, The Human League, The Cure, Rush, old Genesis, T.Rex, Marc Bolan and David Bowie, Love, Aluco, Pink Floyd with Syd Barrett, Bob Dylan's lyrics, Bruce Springsteen, Patti Smith, Chrissie H and Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, Icehouse and Ultravox; all the New Romantic era in the early 80's at Blitz in London, Steve Strange and Co.; Stevie Wonder and soul singers and all MOTOWN, I do like Barbra's screams and Joni Mitchell's Blue, Duran Duran, Suede and Pulp, The Libertines, The Killers, The Associates, B'52's, Siouxsie Sioux, Neil Young, Peter Gabriel, Louis Amstrong, Jorge Negrete y Pedro Infante, Mecano y Timbiriche, Sisters of Mercy, Aztec Camera, The Stranglers, Peter Murphy, Klaus Nomi, Kraftwerk, Bauhaus and Love and Rockets, Joy Division, Antony and his drama, The Velvet Underground and Nico and everyone at the Factory in NYC, Lou Reed is fantastic, Fad Gadget, Talking Heads, Cocteau Twins, Massive Attack and many more... Movies:

The trilogies of the Godfather, The Lord of The Rings, Star Wars (1977-1985). I'm a girlie girl, as well: You Got E-Mail, When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle. I also like emotional films like Death Poets Society, Life is Beautiful, Il Postino, Cinema Paradiso.60's Cult Films. Mexican contemporary films as Life's a Bitch, Like Water for Hot Chocolate, Y Tu Mamá También, Sexo Pudor y Lágrimas. Decadent movies such as Dangereuses Liaisons, Trainspotting, The Exorcist, A Clockwork Orange, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, The Shining, 9 1/2 weeks. B&W Mexican movies and golden Hollywood

Television:

Generally when I'm ready to watch TV is in the evenings when I finish working so I like silly (not so silly ;-)) things like The Simpsons, South Park, Drawn Together and my beloved Sex and The City.

Books:

I love reading but definitely my favourite book has been The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck which I really enjoyed from the beginning to the very end! Another book who really touched me was Winds of War by Herman Wouk. But my favourite writers are Ernst Hemingway, Tolkien, Walt Whitman, James Joyce, Octavio Paz, García Márquez, Herman Hesse and his Steppenwolf! Venus in Furs I just loved it; 'Lolita' Nabokov; Franz Kafka, 'Ana Karenina' of Tolstoi; 120 Days of Sodom, Marquis de Sade. My favourite poem is 'Elevation' of Charles Baudelaire. SOR JUANA INéS DE LA CRUZ Mexican poetress (1648-1695). Classical Literature.
