Superhero Diaries

Comic books aren't just awesome; they're also funny.

About Me

I'm a funny-as-shit humor blog based around the wonderful wonderful world of comic books. I don't claim to be the most knowledgeable fan or even the most passionate; given the choice between getting laid and going to a Brian Michael Bendis signing...let's just say I'm sure there are plenty of other celibates to keep Bendis company.

But I do like comic books a whole lot, and I can be funny sometimes when I really want to. So I've made a site devoted to comic book humor. I've put some of my stuff in my blog, but there's at lot more at:

superherodiaries.com

If you like it, tell your friends.

My Interests

Comic books (DC, Marvel, Vertigo, WildStorm), Magic the Gathering, stopping crime, fighting evil, saving the world and some occasional lighthearted misogyny.

Mostly, working on my comic-based humor site: superherodiaries.com

I'd like to meet:

Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Spider-Man, Iron Man. Also, Brian K. Vaughn, Alan Moore, Frank Miller, Neil Gaiman, Brian Azzarello, Alex Ross, Jeph Loeb, Geoff Johns... I'm forgetting people...Joss Whedon...Grant Morrison, Brad Meltzer, Stephen King...

Now for a list of people I'd like to meet (and do more than just shake hands, if'n you catch my drift): Wonder Woman (and/or Wonder Girl), Zatanna, Black Canary, She-Hulk (in Hulk form, please - I like tall women), the new (lesbiatronic) Batwoman, Supergirl, Jessica Alba... this could really take a while...

Music:

There really isn't much comic book related music for me to listen to. Maybe the JLA could get together and work on a barbershop routine.

Movies:

Look, I'll say it. That new Superman kinda sucked. That being said I am phenomenally excited for the upcoming Spider-Man, and Batman Begins sits on the awesome scale just this side of sex.

Television:

Cartoons, cartoons, cartoons. That and some really crappy reality TV programming. Oh yeah, Lost is the best show on television, unless I'm watching 24.

Books:

Are we talking about trade paperbacks? Kingdom Come, Sandman, Dark Knight and Batman: Hush are probably my favorites. Kavalier and Clay, natch. As far as monthlies go: Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, 52, Green Arrow, 100 Bullets, Fables, and Ex Machina. I want to read more of the X-men, but they confuse the hell out of me.

Heroes:

See: people I'd like to meet.
