About Me

Just another sorry ol' Guitar Player/Writer... Moved to Portland OR in '92. I'm presently playing in two bands; Rodeo Rose is rapidly becoming a serious contender in the local "Hot-Country" Market, and I also play with an indie/Funk/Soul/Blues/Motown/Classic Country (and anything else we can think of) act called Fat Lip Lucy. My Interests

Music, Writing, Astronomy, Geology, Camping, Wine (both 'bad' and 'good'), Sociology, Psychology.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone with even a vague semblance of responsibility regarding the advent of voice recognition switchboards. No... really... come on by... got a present for ya...

Music:

Blues, Soul, (real)Funk, (real)R+B, Alt Country, Old School Punk/New Wave... Pretty much anything that hasn't received major airplay in the last few decades, I guess.

Movies:

hmmmm ... not really a big 'movie' guy... 4 faves from 4 extremes: Rocky Horror, Paint Your Wagon, Slap Shot, Oh Brother Where Art Thou. And for some reason if "League Of Their Own" is on, all life stops until the movie's over.

Television:

Yeah, there's one in the living room... Hey, If I kill the Survivorman can I get actual 'science' back on the Science Channel?

Books:

If I had to pick a favorite it would be "The Discoverers" by Daniel Boorstin. Despite being a writer, I try not to be a 'book-snob'. If you're reading (anything) I'm glad.

Heroes:

I'll give you 3 alternate answers: 1. Clapton is God... Need I say more? 2. Uh... does Wonder Woman count? 3. We live in an age that is somehow both bereft of Heroes and saturated with them at the same instant. - If you can sort all of it out, you can be mine...
